【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodmeasurestheperformanceoftheperimeterfirebarriersystemanditsabilitytomaintainasealtopreventfirespreadduringthedeflectionanddeformationoftheexteriorwallassemblyandfloorassemblyduringthefiretest,whileresistingfireexposurefromaninteriorcompartmentfireaswellasfromtheflameplumeemittedfromthewindowburnerbelow.Theendpointofthefireresistancetestistheperiodoftimeelapsingbeforethefirstconditionofcomplianceisreachedastheperimeterfirebarriersystemissubjectedtoatime-temperaturefireexposure.1.2Thefireexposureconditionsusedarethosespecifiedbythistestmethodforthefirst30minofexposureandthenconformtotheTestMethodsE119time-temperaturecurvefortheremainderofthetestinthetestroom.1.3Thistestmethodspecifiestheheatingconditions,methodsoftest,andcriteriaforevaluationoftheabilityofaperimeterfirebarriersystemtomaintainthefireresistancewhereafloorandexteriorwallassemblyarejuxtaposedtoaperimeterjoint.1.4Testresultsestablishtheperformanceofperimeterfirebarriersystemsduringthefire-exposureperiodandshallnotbeconstruedashavingdeterminedthesuitabilityofperimeterfirebarriersystemsforuseafterthatexposure.1.5Thistestmethoddoesnotprovidequantitativeinformationabouttheperimeterfirebarriersystemrelativetotherateofleakageofsmokeorgasesorboth.Whileitrequiresthatsuchphenomenabenotedandreportedwhendescribingthegeneralbehaviorofperimeterfirebarriersystemduringthefireresistancetest,suchphenomenaarenotpartoftheconditionsofcompliance.1.6Potentiallyimportantfactorsandfirecharacteristicsnotaddressedbythistestmethodinclude,butarenotlimitedto:1.6.1Theperformanceoftheperimeterfirebarriersystemconstructedwithcomponentsotherthanthosetested,and1.6.2Thecyclicmovementcapabilitiesofperimeterfirebarriersystemsotherthanthecyclingconditionstested.1.7Thistestmethodisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,productsorassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditionsbutdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforthefire-hazardorfire-riskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.8Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIvaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.9Thetextofthistestmethodreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
