【摘要】:1.1ThisspecificationcoversrigidplasticPVCandCPVCExteriorcompoundscomposedofpoly(vinylchloride),chlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride),vinylchloridecopolymersorvinylchlorideblends,andthenecessarycompoundingredientsintendedforuseinmakingbuildingproducts.Thecompoundingingredientsmayconsistoflubricants,stabilizers,nonpoly(vinylchloride)resinmodifiers,colorantsorpigments,orboth,andinorganicfillers.1.2ThisspecificationisintendedtoprovideclassificationofbasecompoundsusedtomanufacturePVCandCPVCexteriorbuildingproducts.Physicalpropertiesmaybedeterminedbyevaluatingcompoundsofanycolor.Note1Twoyearweatheringstudies,withoutspecificrequirementsforcolorchangeandphysicalpropertychange,arerecommendedforallcolorsofnewcompoundsandcompoundsfornewapplicationstoprovidethebasisforagreementbetweenproducerandbuyeronthesuitabilityofthecompoundfortheintendedapplication.1.3Therequirementsinthisspecificationareintendedforqualification,aswellasforqualitycontrolofcompoundsusedtomanufacturebuildingproducts.Theyarenotapplicabletofinishedbuildingproducts.SeeSpecificationsD3679,D4477,D4726,andF964forrequirementsforfinishedproducts.1.4Itmaybenecessary,inspecialcases,toselectspecificcompoundsforunusualapplicationsthatrequireconsiderationofotherpropertiesnotcoveredinthisspecification.1.5Therateofburningtest,TestMethodD635,isusedinthisspecificationonlyasascreeningtestforidentificationofcertainpropertiesofthePVCcompound;thereisnoflammabilitytestorflammabilityrequirementforthecompound.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note2TherearenoISOstandardscoveringtheprimarysubjectmatterofthisspecification.1.7Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnotes,whichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisstandard.1.8RigidPVCrecycleplasticmeetingtherequirementsofthisspecificationmaybeusableinsomeapplications.RefertothespecificrequirementsintheMaterialsandManufactureSectionoftheapplicableproductstandard.
